You can click on the Database Submenu items above to see more information on Landlords, Colonies, and also add Annual Data entries into the Martin Monitor database.

Martin Monitor Database Main Page

Use this page to set up your personal and colony information and also to record your annual nest check data and observations for your colony.

Directions:

Step 1.  You need only enter the landlord information one time.  You will be automatically recognized in subsequent years.  The only exception is if you move your home from its current location and establish a new colony site.

Enter new landlord information:  Landlord Data

When this step is successfully completed you will automatically be directed to the Colony Information Data Entry Page in Step 2.

Step 2.  Enter colony information only once for each of your different colony locations.  If you change your home location and start a new colony, first enter your new home location under Step 1, then your new colony info under Step 2.  You are required to give your colony a "name".  This is useful for a variety of reasons such as reporting and sorting the data.  Just make it simple and easy to remember.

Enter new colony information:   Colony Data

When this step is successfully completed you will automatically be directed to the Annual Colony Observations Data Entry Page in Step 3.

Step 3.  Enter annual data reports such as ASY and SY arrival dates, number of cavities, number of pairs, eggs laid and hatched, and number of young fledged.  Please enter a new record for each year you want to record in the database.  If you have followed Steps 1 & 2 properly, your landlord name and your colony name may be selected from the drop down boxes for each.  If not, return here or use the blue menu bar at the top of the page to enter either your Landlord info or Colony info and enter your name first followed by your colony info.  Currently the database will accommodate annual reports back to 1990, but earlier years can be added upon request.

Enter annual colony observations:  Annual Data

Tip:  Click on the Blue Navigation Bar on the top of most pages to easily navigate around the database.

Step 4.  You can review information at any time, whether you have entered data or not, by clicking on these Colony Stats, State Stats, and Yearly Stats links, or by selecting the links in the left hand navigation panel under Database Submenu of this page, or by using the links below.  You can filter and sort data as you wish and even save and export information in Excel or Word format for additional review and manipulation.

Step 5.  You can link to a specific map on the Google Maps site showing colony locations of all landlords participating in the Martin Monitor database.  You can also send me a picture of yourself or your colony and I will include it in the the map site marker.  To see the map and its features, please visit Martin Monitor Google Maps.
