Electronic Bluebird Prognosticator (EBP)- Current Excel Version 2.7 Final (released 7/13/2011)

Download Bluebird Prognosticator v2.7 Final

Excel Version 2.7 Final is a tested final release which corrects some bugs in the release candidate.  If you downloaded V 2.7 RC1 it is highly recommended to update.  It is believed to be very reliable but if you find errors please let the author know by using the contact info at the bottom of this page.

Background
The Electronic Bluebird Prognosticator was developed by me as an additional method for bluebird enthusiasts to maintain accurate records of their nest boxes from year to year and to monitor trends.  It was developed in Excel 2007 spreadsheet format so it should be downward compatible with older versions of Excel.   I have NOT tested it with the FREE OpenOffice spreadsheet program but a compatible version should be coming out soon.
Instructions for Use:
  1. Download the file.
  2. The spreadsheet comes populated with data for the years 2002, 2003, and 2010 to give you an idea of how to enter data and to see some of the reports and tables.  You should delete the data or replace it with your own after reviewing it.  Critical areas of the spreadsheet are protected and cannot be erased accidentally.  In general, cells in white are for data entry and are unprotected.  Colored cells usually contain formulas and cannot be erased or modified.
  3. When you open the spreadsheet in your program you will arrive at the Summary Page.  From there you can go to the Instructions Page, the Graph Averages Per Year, and Individual Years by clicking on the blue hyperlinks in the Year column of the table or by clicking on the appropriate tabs at the bottom of the page.  Years 2005 thru 2015 can be accommodated at the present time.  Any letters in blue with a line underneath them are hyperlinks to other areas of the spreadsheet.  More detailed instructions are present on the 'Instructions' page.
  4. This software is provided free of charge.  If you find any bugs or would like to request new features or have ideas for improving it please .  I hope you enjoy the spreadsheet and find it useful.
